Coming Home

Waddup thugs. I guess school has basically started for everyone now. Hopefully things are going well for all you fellas.
This weekend is Stanford Invite, so I'm thinking I might head on down and talk El Thorne. I think he must be pretty stoked with his dyestat reviews.
You guys that have been racing, let's see some results?
Noah's coming back from Beijing for a week or so in October, so I'll be going home for a weekend in the middle of the month. Is anyone going to be around then? Who plans on coming back for Thanksgiving?
Today we're going to do the Master Blaster workout....you do 200's at goal 1600 pace until you just can't do them anymore. It should be pretty awesome. I'm going to try to get into shape hopefully in time for the track season, and maybe run an open 5000 or steeple in some of the Cal track meets here. I'll show them how TPDC operates.
Talk to you guys soon.

T-Bone

P.S. I threw down a 15:59 a couple weeks ago on the roads for those of you that are interested in times.

San Diegans at Roy Griak Invite

Hey dudes, I ran at the Roy Griak Invite this past Saturday at the U of MN. I saw some old(ish) faces:

Concordia (CA): Marco Venancio (got 4th in a very impressive field)
Wai John Wai (La Jolla HS)

UC San Diego: Jake LeVieux (La Costa Canyon HS)
Matt Noble (West Hills HS)
Jammin' not there unfortunately

UCLA: Claire Rethmeier
Jenna Timinsky (5th year)

Carleton: me
Charlie Gamble (La Jolla HS)

San Diego State women and University City HS also there. Last year I saw Troy Swier as well as some of the Cal Poly guys from Big Bear Runner's Workshop, such as Nate Brassmassery.

Times were slow all around because it had rained all week and the course was shittier and sloppier than all hell. Hope everyone is doing super!

R.I.P.

So by now I am sure you have all heard about Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter, died a few days ago after being stung in the chest by a sting ray. He is survived by two children, a son and daughter, and a lovely wife. He was a hero to everyone in this world who cared for animals in any way. He paved the way for people like Jeff Corwin and others who do the one on one animal telivision shows. This labor day there were thousands and thousands of drunk SB kids on the beach and we all held a moment of silence for Steve. I hope you all will do the same. Hope everyone is doing well, Later.
