summer and stuff

let the trash talking begin. 5 mile steady state in a 8.5 mile run today, 28:30 for the 5 miles.

i fly to SD on july 3rd, then fly to ireland july 4th. return on the 16th or 17th. will be in SD til the 19th.

concerts: ozzfest this sunday in sactown, would like to go to warped tour but will be in ireland, would like to go to chili peppers but the sac show is when we have xc camp and the oakland shows (well all the shows) cost $60, so not quite worth it in my opinion. hopefully tool will have some west coast shows later in the summer when they return from europe and/or asia (i can't remember), cause i'd love to see them live.

speaking of near death experiences my birthday was probably one of them...apparently i sang karaoke to 'like a virgin' and then crashed my bike twice on the ride home.

well now we have a 4:14 incoming freshman who's arriving just to visit and me and some teammates are gonna go each lunch with him somewhere.

Kickin' it cRaZy in SLO!

Yo dudes, T-bone here...

I've been kickin' it here in SLO. It's pretty sweet. Justin and I have run like once, but it's crazy...4 people out of 8 in my math program run, so I've been kickin' some solid 40+ mile weeks. I haven't seen Troy Swier yet...bummer.
I think I'm going down to Warped Tour in a week or whatever, so DJ, we should hit it up.
How has everyone else's summers been?
You guys better be training, because I'm getting in some decent shape...trash talking will ensue soon.
DJ...don't die tonight man!

Peace out,
T-bone

GREAT NEWS!!!

In case anyone was really is into mothers giving birth, I found out that you can watch live births online through a webcast, at www.CRYO-CELL.com, you can even watch C-Sections. Right-on brothers!!!!!!!!

In other news i am moving into my new house on July 1 in Isla Vista, Santa Barbara. With ten people it should be a fun time. However, on thursday night I have to sleep in the driveway of my new house beacuse I have no where to store my stuff. I get kicked out of my current place at midnight on thursday and cannot move into my new house until noon on friday so me and my roomate are just going to put all our shit in our new house driveway and take shifts sleeping and watching the stuff. Should be interesting, kind of like being homeless. LATER DUDETS!!!!!!

stuff

i will be seeing avenged sevenfold at ozzfest on july 2nd in marysville (outside Sac)
tickets were a steal at $25 after all the convenience and service charges.

running stuff:
last week was 40.5 miles, this week so far was 8 at 6:45 pace, 0 because i cycled instead, 10 at 6:20 pace, will try to hit 45 miles this week.

in advance:
i will be in SD for July 17-19 and would like to run the beach and PQ and of course hit up Roberto's, B&B, and P-Shack and would love some company running and/or dining.

Let's get this party started!

Hey guys...
DJ and I have decided that the blog has been pretty weak lately, so we're going to spice some things up. Let's get some more posts going!
For those of you that missed it, Fidel's was awesome. Ryan, DJ, and I kidnapped Thorne. Then Jason, Benhamin, Alisha, Julie, and Dani showed up for dinner. We then showed up at Justin's house because he was a no-show. He was with his girlfriend, but we still bugged him, which I think made Thorne pretty happy. Hopefully, El Graddy can put up some of the awesome pictures that we took.
I'm up here in SLO and there's like nobody around. If anyone wants to come visit over the summer that would be cool.

If you guys want hardcore music...Avenged Sevenfold, Shadowsfall, and Eighteen Visions are some pretty good ones too.

fidel's and running and stuff

aw man i wish i could be there for thorne kidnapping. i haven't talked to him in forever. i was going to over winter break but he went out of town. i miss rubbing his head and fatty belly for good luck. i even almost miss him yelling at me to use my arms...almost.

when's that SF marathon 5k? i actually might do it. might make a good attempt at going under 16 there.
i ran 30 miles last week. this week should be like 38.

Fidel's

Alright, I don't know who's been checking the posts and who's heard about this, but either June 15th or 16th, we (TPDC) is going to try to kidnap Thorne to take him to Fidel's. So if you're going to be around on one of those days, let me know, so I can try to set things up. Or if you know he's on vacation or something like that, that would be good to know as well, since I haven't really talked with him or his wife yet.

Also, Mark, I'll be in SLO all summer so I can't play beating you. I might be going up for SF Marathon the next weekend to run their 5k, so think about doing that one, if you think you're storm. I hit 18 miles last week, so I don't think you can keep up with me now.

Ok, I have to go run with Ryan and show him who's boss.

horsecow invite

today we had our annual horsecow invite. in years past it has been much bigger, as the herd of horsecows (those cut from the track team) was much bigger in the past, since this year they added 8 new roster spots. the events are the 5k, reverse steeplechase, supposed to be 8x50 meter relay with 4 people (think about it for a sec), and super secret event, which changes every year. it started at like 11am and i had work at noon so i only had time to stay for the 5k. that is usually the event not that many people run, cause everyone's out of shape coming off their time off at this point in the year. however we had a lot of people this year, probably 10-12, with 4 serious contenders, our #6 cross guy, myself, a guy trying out for cross next year, and one other random dude. not to bore you with details, our #6 guy ran 16:51, i ran 17:15, the other two guys fell off considerably and ran around 18. i was surprised i ran that fast. around 80 degrees outside. my legs have felt like shit ever since i got back from houseboats. i've been fending off a bit of a cold. so i was very pleased.

to tye, alex, dan, whoever else: i will most likely be running wharf to wharf 6 mile in santa cruz july 23, if you're up for a race. i will probably try to run b/w 5:20 and 5:30 a mile, its supposed to be a fast course.

let's see who's really S.S.E.,
